Confirmation Information
Our church is a covenant community that has been called together by God and that believes God’s promise: “I will walk among you, and will be your God, and you shall be my people.” As members of the congregation, we have promised to be faithful to God by teaching the faith to our children, by modeling the faith in the way we live our lives, and by praying for them and teaching them to pray.
The 2008 class will have three parts:
(1) “We Believe” confirmation curriculum of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)
(2) Exercises and teachings on prayer and spirituality, based on a book by Don Postema, Space for God
(3) Retreat experience at Clearwater Forest.
Seventh and eighth grade students are eligible for the class which meets on Wednesday evenings from 6:15-8:00 during the “spring semester.” The confirmation class is being taught by Rev. Randy Lubbers.
