“FEAST AT FIRST”
Free Dinner on Thanksgiving Day! - 2011 !
Plans are being made, for the eighth straight year, to host a free dinner for individuals and families on Thanksgiving Day at First Presbyterian Church in Lake Crystal. The traditional menu will include turkey & dressing, mashed potatoes & gravy, corn, salad, Dutch apple bread, and homemade pie. Volunteers from First Presbyterian Church and from other churches will set tables, roast turkeys, make pies, and prepare and serve the meal. “Feast at First” will be served from 11:30 am through 12:30 pm on Thanksgiving Day in the newly-remodeled Fellowship Hall at First Presbyterian Church, 302 E. Prince Street, Lake Crystal.
A FREE THANKSGIVING DAY DINNER!
“Feast at First” is part of our mission to be a church that reflects the radical hospitality of God. It’s one of the ways we put our love of God and love of others into practice. We are grateful that God has given us the privilege and joy of being servants of Christ through this event.
Many different needs are met…
Some folks just need a free dinner—it’s that simple. But others, particularly some older folks, might need “a family for the day” or a place that feels a little more festive. Other people need a place where they can pitch in and put their thanksgiving into action. And some Moms just need a break from the kitchen. All are welcome, regardless of the reason!
Advance reservations may be made by calling the church office at 726-2877.
